Positioned on the 16th road, Bandra west, next to Wiccan store Magick, is Shen Reflexology that offers its own brand of supernaturalism. It’s metaphorical to leave your shoes outside and slip into a pair of Osho chappals as you step into the sacred space. The inner chamber is small and holds as much wattage as a fading, dusky sky.
Shen’s one hour reflexology treatment is highly recommended. Expert hands soak your feet in sea-salt solution, warm them with hot towels, apply apricot oil and begin kneading, pressing and stroking your gams in the most soporific manner. The lack of light, soothing music, miniature water wall and Buddha head recreate a womb-like calm. You can avail of their aromatherapy or acupressure facial massages and take a head/neck/shoulder/back extension for an additional Rs. 150. Warm herbal tea is offered post treatment. Pricing is excellent (between INR 350 – 1200 per treatment), the staff is professional and caring, and despite the lack of square feet, the little spa holds its own.
