The salon and spa might seem to have two entrances labelled unisex and females, but it actually has just one for all. The attendants vie for your attention as they are larger in number than the customers. Perhaps the weekend scene differs.
Essence Salon and Day Spa offers a membership which seems to be quite good. Prices for the routine beauty regimens are reasonable. The ambiance is somehow not relaxing enough, even with the bowl of fake flowers floating in water at the entrance. The room is not crowded yet gives one the feeling of uneasiness.
The staff is smiling and friendly. The place offers foot and hand spas amongst other treatments and packages. Watch out for Diwali and Christmas specials, which might be lighter on the pocket.
