The ambience, at Trattoria, is far from eye-catching, and an odd shade of beige wood makes up the woodwork. However, the food is excellent – you’re dealing with one of the best Italian restaurants in the city with star quality imported oils, cheeses, meats and pasta. Right from the aged parmesan and peppericino, to the fine table John Dory fish and Parma ham, the food is stamped with an authenticity and a distinct flavour. Service too is quick. Dexterous hands flip dough and craft delicious Pizza Margaritas, Crab Stuffed Pasta, Grilled Palm Hearts and Lobster Thermidor.
Craving a steak one day I went to Tratts as it's popularly called. Sad to say it was disappointing as I thought the HRC and Blue Frog served better ones. Tratts is known for its Italian food but I came away disappointed for the price I paid. Is it true that the food at the 5 Star hotels is not what one would expect ?
