This branch opened its gates on Valentines' Day; an apt day to open a shop that serves a plethora of chocolate desserts.
The French Loaf is nice roadside-cafe with few chairs and tables laid outside. The guys at the counter are quiet friendly and happy to help you choose the right dessert or snack. Apart from cakes, breads and cookies the cafe also offers delightful snacks, croissants, cro'wich, viennoiseries and coffees. The desserts here are not just the regular pastries. Go for framaretto (delicious blend of raspberry and chocolate), tiramisu, orange caviar or hazelnut fondant. The most amusing delicacy is pot de chocolat or chocolate spoon which is a mousse with an edible chocolate spoon on top of it.
Although The French Loaf comes as a breath of fresh air in this area it, it needs to work harder to make the customers come back for more.
I was out for dinner with some friends. We were desperately looking for a dessert shop after the food when my wife spotted this small cafe in Malad. They have great desserts to offer. I specially loved their pot de chocolate.
