Situated in the heart of Malad link road, Shimmer offers an opulent and a spacious atmosphere where you’re bound to have a rollicking time. Split into a hookah bar and a lounge bar, the ambience caters to both kinds of mood and crowd. The staff exudes warm hospitality. The bartenders go out of their way to suit the guests’ needs, mixing and experimenting with interesting concoctions. The Indian and Chinese appetisers are simply mouthwatering.
While the DJ spins numbers ranging from hip-hop to retro, the lighting and the ambience is very clever in offering privacy to every table. A giant plasma screen offers channels right from sports to music. The mirrors, fish tank and fibre flooring all add up to the lounge’s flashy title!

Shimmer is the place that could do better. The place gets too crowded. Dark and dingy is what shimmer becomes. The food though its okay, but not that great.

Shimmer
Shimmer is the kind of place which from the outside holds a lot of promise but disappoints heavily when you're in.
I went to the hookah bar and saw a live screening of an IPL Match. The problem was that the place is so badly ventilated, you can barely see the screen. Smoke in the air, smoke in the eyes.
And yeah, the air conditioning is not great either. I was sweating profusely for 10 minutes before the AC kicked to life.
The flavors though were acceptable and good.
The food served is simply not up to the mark. My group ordered a Biryani, Corn and Cheese Balls and they were just about edible.
The ambience is okayish. Not much to write about.
Service is prompt.
All in all it is a let down.
