Revel is a hearty-party for non-vegetarians who desire the flavours of coastal and non-coastal Maharashtra. The seafood preparations are fresh, spicy and tangy, with VFM offers on combo-meals. The bombil fry literally melts in the mouth once you get past the crunchy exterior! They are generous with their portions, including the sol kadhi.
Revel has simple interiors, is not spacious (seats 28) and is understaffed, yet their kitchen is hygienic and the service is prompt. The Dhurus (husband, wife and son) are very courteous owing to which they have quite a few loyal customers. All the non-vegetarian dishes are prepared by Mrs. Dhuru. Their son manages the restaurant and runs a Tibbs Frankie stall on the verandah. Revel is a successful endeavour owing to great seafood and hospitality. On weekends, customers pour in till it’s time to shut shop.
