Govinda’s is a buffet restaurant situated inside the premises of Iskcon (Hare Rama Hare Krishna) Temple. The area surrounding the place is tranquil and the garden behind it has a calming effect.
The dining hall is large with artistic interiors and comfortable seating. The food is considered as a prashaad (offering) of Lord Krishna. For Rs 300 (Rs 350 on Sundays) a large variety is available; spring rolls, hara bhara kababs, pastas, mexican rolls and more make up the starter menu.
The main course includes Punjabi and Rajasthani vegetable dishes (falls a little short of perfection!) served with parathas, rotis and puris along with dal, dahi curry and rice.
An array of desserts is then laid out, if you have the stomach for it.
