Snuggled in the middle of one of Khar’s busiest streets is Mumbai’s newest offering, Mosate. This Pan-Asian fine diner, with its classy look and feel, works your senses as soon as you step in. Burmese khowsuey, stir-fried dishes, curries, dim sums – Mosate has them all, with good prices on alcohol.
The spinach, burnt garlic and cheese momos will melt in your mouth, while the sliced fish with hot basil sauce and the Bangkok street-style soup are must tries. Indonesian/Balinese style statuettes sit calmly in sporadic niches, providing a visual feast. The seating has a charming, semi-formal vibe, while the private dining area is cozy and inviting. Mosate is a good place to dine at, with soothing music providing the finishing touches. The average cost per head is Rs. 500 – 700.
