Adorned with Buddha heads, antiques and ornate lanterns and lamps, jazz aficionado and promoter Prakash Thadani’s bungalow walls are framed with original editions of Mario Miranda’s work.
Exploring the space reveals two dining rooms, one private dining room with an antique wooden table and a small shop for bric-a-brac and knick-knacks. There’s an assortment of steamed buns, sushi rolls, little burgers, paninis, pizzas and Oriental fare by chef Kaviraj. By and large, the fare is good, with a few disappointments. Prakash’s delectable chilli sauce is served as an accompaniment and bottled for purchase. Wine is served and the staff is likeable and prompt. Events are hosted occasionally and the space is perfect for an informal meal with friends or family.
