The dawn of Monginis and CCDs in Mumbai saw erstwhile bakeries give in to the modern taste. City Bakery, placed at Worli Naka, is one of the most famous bakeries in South Mumbai. It dishes out a selection of pizzas, cheese straws, veg rolls, baguettes, pastries and more that can easily over-bake fellow competitors! The renowned brun and regular pavs garner a queue for those craving crispy, wholesome breads. The donuts, plum cakes and hot cookies leave you salivating while the assortment of biscuits from jam, walnut, cocoa, coconut and more leave you baffled. Don’t miss their lemon tea cake. Modestly priced with the infamous brun pavs sold at Rs. 2 per piece and Rs. 80 per kg for nankhatais and other delights, City Bakery leaves you amazed by the heavenly treats with earthly pricing!

City Bakery is a landmark in Mumbai. I've been visiting it over the years and love the selection of freshly baked food. The business has survived in spite of new cafes and bakeries mushrooming all over.
