The ‘Frog’ was launched in December 2007, as a nightclub that is hell-bent on promoting eclectic live music! Indian and International artists belt out their originals, playing music that spans world, crossover, fusion, electronic and non-mainstream genres. Each individual table or ‘pod’ has been acoustically treated, so that diners can chat while listening to live music. The club is dimly lit in hues of blue and red, with screens for visualisations and a super sound system.
They definitely take their cocktails seriously – I loved the Blue Grass cooler and kiwi aniseed martini. Blue Frog has a live kitchen with a mango wood-fire grill – their ¼ kg beef burger and tuna steak are excellent. They have a stunning, pricey Sunday Brunch. Private parties are usually hosted on Mondays, while live gigs happen during the rest of the week. Entry is free before 9 pm, after which one pays Rs. 300 – 500 per head as an entry charge.

Making a difference ! That's what The Frog is about. A forum for international artists to perform and exposure of local residents to musica ! And a record label listing some great local artists. Hopefully the amalgam will spawn a greater amount of creativity and musical influences.
I always enjoy the club. The food is excellent. Their beef burger rivals the best in the city (makes HRC sit up and take notice). The menu is very highly priced but one's come to expect these prices in the past few years what with the new wave of fine dining restaurants.
